Best value models for light-duty applications
Linde Material Handling introduces an extended reach truck portfolio
Linde Material Handling (MH) has introduced four new reach trucks to its portfolio with immediate effect. The Linde R10B to R16B models in the 1.0 to 1.6-tonne load capacity range supplement the current reach truck series as entry-level models. These new models are designed for light to medium-duty applications and feature a basic level of equipment that still enables drivers to work comfortably.
The key features of the Linde R14 to R20 Performance series introduced to the market last year are also reflected in the B series. These features include the uncoupled workstation, the operating console that can be adjusted longitudinally, the rheological steering system (which enables the steering resistance and number of steering turns to be set), the height-adjustable driver's seat, the load wheel brakes, the adjustable forward reach and pull back damping for the lift mast and the end position damping for the upper end stop. The series equipment also includes important safety functions such as Linde Curve Assist, which adapts the driving speed proportionally around bends, as well as a total of four completely independent braking systems and lift height display above the free lift.
In contrast to the more powerful models, and in line with the potential applications of the B models, the maintenance-free 6.5-kW three-phase traction motors accelerate the trucks to 11 km/h with and without load. In addition to a triplex version, the torsion-resistant tilting masts can also be equipped with standard masts. Both versions offer the driver a wide viewing window through the narrow-profile lift mast, which can still reach lift heights of up to 7700 millimetres. The driver's seat is mechanically damped and absorbs shocks on uneven surfaces. Batteries ranging from 360 to 620 ampere hours (Ah) are available for the 48-volt trucks. The standard equipment can be extended in line with the application conditions. Special equipment options include an integrated sideshift, the panoramic armoured glass roof or the BlueSpot optical warning unit.
